CVE for Me

A CVE, or Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures, is a standardized identifier for publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities in software and hardware, allowing organizations to share and manage information about these vulnerabilities effectively. Each CVE is assigned a unique ID to facilitate tracking and prioritization of security issues. The CVE method is one of the most widely used and integrated into many vulnerability management systems helping to identify vulnerabilities in your systems. Often vendor vulnerability management solutions integrate remediation advice to show what patches or configuration changes are needed. This helps create a well rounded process for identifying, remediating and tracking vulnerabilities. The image below explains the CVE method so you can understand some of the risk levels your tools provide to you.
